Haxelwood Crew - Oct 1945 - Part 2

Here are the individual pictures of the crew. Larry Bowman is in the back row of the center picture. The joint of the 2 pictures runs through his picture. Notice that the crew had a mascot and it is seen in the life ring.

  1. My favorite relative served on thee USS Hazelwood in the Pacific during WWII. He was a welder I believe and also part of a gun crew. He was onboard the day of the horrific Kamikaze attack which destroyed the bridge and killed so many crew members. His name was Lucien C. Bohley. I really want to get his service record and any information I can about him. He was such a loving and fun uncle you could ask for more. Does anyone know how to go about getting his service information? Thank you, Mark

  2. If you contact veterans affairs they would be able to direct you. I think only direct dissendants can get it but i may be wrong.
